Discover the theory and practice of:
- Raw ingredient selection.
- Sugar extraction from malt.
- Boiling and cooling.
- Fermentation process.
- Recipe design.
- Beer tasting.
- Purchasing/building brewing equipment.
- Post-fermentation options.
- Troubleshooting potential problems.
Margaret began as a hobby home-brewer in Canada in 2010. After moving to Lisbon in 2012, she again picked up the hobby, which soon became an all-consuming passion. In late 2016, she founded the AMO Brewery.
Since Margaret began home-brewing in Lisbon, she has led a number of workshops teaching people how to make their own beer at home, or in their eco-village or community association. She enjoys demystifying the world of beer-making and empowering people to Do-It-Yourself and control their own production.
